Jaromír Novotný appointed Artist-in-Residence

From September 22 - November 15, 2026
Axel Vervoordt Gallery is pleased to share that Jaromír Novotný has been invited as Artist-in-Residence at Dartmouth College’s Department of Studio Art this fall.
During the residency, Novotný will present Like provisional things with no need to leave, on view at the Jaffe-Friede Gallery from September 22 through November 15, 2026. An artist talk will take place on September 24 at 4:45 p.m. at the Loew Auditorium, followed by an opening reception at 6 p.m.
Working within an extended field of painting, Novotný explores the sensory and material qualities of painting, drawing, photography, and objects, developing a subtle visual language shaped by process, association, and memory.
