Axel Vervoordt Gallery

No prior reservation is needed, all visits start at Reception in the Escher Building. Visitors are invited to check-in, receive a map of Kanaal, and browse the library of recent publications.

Permanent Installations (only on reservation)

The installations from the Axel & May Vervoordt Foundation are:

  • Anish Kapoor, “At the Edge of the World” from 1998
  • James Turrell, “Red Shift” from 1995
  • Various works by: Marina Abramović, Otto Bol, Kimsooja, Tatsuo Miyajima, Otto Piene, Takis, and Angel Vergara.

Visit the permanent installations

Tours of the Gallery and Permanent Installations are offered by appointment at 14:00 and 15:30 on opening days (Thursday, Friday and Saturday).

Tours are offered in English, Dutch and French upon availability.

For groups larger than 15 persons, an honorary fee of 12€/person is required.

Reservations for individuals are necessary at least 48 hours before visiting. For groups, we highly recommend to reserve as early as 4 to 6 weeks in advance.

Kanaal is also home to the Axel Vervoordt's Antiquaire studio, where we restore, research and present our current inventory.
