"Artist Lights for Peace," luminous installations between the center and the outskirts.

News content

"Rome, Lights of Artists for Peace is the project promoted by the Department of Culture and the Department of Cultural Activities of the City of Rome, with the care of the Capitoline Superintendence for Cultural Heritage and the organization of Zètema Progetto Cultura. It symbolically draws attention to contemporary issues and peaceful coexistence.

With the hope that peace spreads throughout the world, putting an end to all wars that stain countless corners of the earth, it is part of the rich program of Capodarte 2024. Until January 7th, there will be five light installations created by five great artists in five different locations in the city, between the center and the outskirts.

  • Mimmo Paladino in Piazza della Minerva with the work Natura primitiva;
  • Marco Tirelli in Piazza Borghese with the work Senza Titolo;
  • Pietro Ruffo in Piazza Sant’Ignazio with the videomapping The Shape of Peace;
  • Marinella Senatore in Piazza San Pantaleo with We rise by lifting others;
  • Fulvio Caldarelli in Corviale with Love 2023, curated by Achille Bonito Oliva (this last one will be lit near New Year's)."
