Program:
Compositions of Aftab Darvishi, Mahdis Golzar Kashani, Alireza Farhang, Idin Samimi Mofakham, Jean-Luc Fafchamps.
Poetry by Khwajeh Shams Al-din Muhammad Hafez-e Shiraz (Hafez, ca. 1320 – ca. 1390) and Omar Khayyám (1048-1123).

Dramaturgy by Liselotte Sels.
Ensemble: mezzo, violin, alt violin, cello, (bas)clarinet, flute, percussion, piano, electronics, video.


Mahdis Golzar Kashani is pianist and composer and is building an international career out of Tehran.
Alireza Farhang has worked for years in Paris on a contemporary and self-willed musical oeuvre, rooted in the rich Iranian music tradition.
Hague-based Aftab Darvishi has a great affinity with the human voice and the relation between text and music.
Composer and performer Idin Samimi Mofakham was born in 1982 in Tehran. His music has been performed or record by the famous ensembles such as Klangforum Wien, S.E.M Ensemble, Moto Perpetuo, AuditivVokal Dresden, Momenta Quartet, Ostravská banda, Stockholm Saxophone Quartet , Xelmya, and in Iran mainly by Nivak Ensemble and Nilper Orchestra. His works are based on traditional and folk music of Iran through contemporary approach as well as focused on Acoustic and Psycho-Acoustic Phenomenon.
For Belgian Jean-Luc Fafchamps, sufi mysticism and art has been a source of inspiration and creation.
Young photographer and documentary filmmaker Sam Asaert has been invited to create a visual frame for the musical poetry of EMRUZ – VANDAAG .
