Winter exhibition 2014
We are proud to announce our Winter Exhibition at Kanaal,
Saturday and Sunday December 6th & 7th from 11.00 - 19.00hrs.
This year's edition is themed around IBU, Kanaal and the real estate project "Kanaal. A City in the Country."

For IBU, the balance between form and function was an ongoing concern. Both were equally important but she started from function and let the form follow. The forms she saw around her were an endless source of inspiration to her. The craftmanship and skills needed to work with bronze were also a keyfactor in her creative process. She herself described her style as post-minimalism. We are excited and honored to host an exhibition devoted to IBU pieces during the winter exhibition.

The loft at Kanaal will present a major survey of historical Gutai artworks, displaying key pieces of Matsutani, Shimamoto, Maekawa and Murakami. Several archaeological highlights include a Greek bust of a veiled women in limestone (late 4th Century BC) with an interesting calcification and a Roman marble 'Dionysus with Panther" (2nd Century AD). Some remarkable 20th Century iconic designs by Jules Wabbes and Axel Einar Hjorth complement the collection.

The real estate project 'Kanaal. A City in the Country' is nearing completion. The future homes and offices are taking shape. We invite you to wander through the site, experiencing the new energy and dynamic.
